how a cordless waterless diffuser works
the element has no water tank. the 15ml oil bottle screws straight in, and a small air pump turns the undiluted oil into a fine mist you mostly can't see. there's no heat involved.
it doesn't mist nonstop. each intensity runs in short bursts with a 120 second pause in between: delicate runs for 6 seconds, subtle 12, radiant 18 and intense 24. so for most of the time it's on, the diffuser is quietly paused between bursts.
why battery life changes with the setting
on delicate the element mists for 6 seconds in every 126; on intense, 24 seconds in every 144. higher settings spend more of each cycle misting, so they use more battery and more oil. that's the difference between about 12 hours on low and about 8 on high. a low setting stretches both the battery and the bottle.

which oil it takes
